JSC "Vitebskdrev" intends to build warehouses in Uzbekistan to expand its presence in the local market

ОАО "Витебскдрев" намерено строить склады в Узбекистане для расширения своего присутствия на местном рынке

JSC "Vitebskdrev" is considering the possibility of creating a modern warehouse complex in Uzbekistan, where it intends to expand its presence through the supply of new products – MDF/HDF boards, the production of which was mastered in 2014.

This is one of the outcomes of the joint-stock company's participation in the recent international exhibition "MebelExpo Uzbekistan-2015" in Tashkent. " According to Yuri Doylin, Deputy General Director for Marketing, Sales, and Supply, who spoke to "Vitebskiye Vesti", the Uzbek market is one of the most promising for the enterprise. Therefore, the main goal was to consolidate its positions in this country and subsequently enter other regions of Central Asia. Several state programs for the development of industries – potential consumers of "Vitebskdrev"'s products – are being implemented here, which is why high demand for the boards is predicted.

The Vitebsk manufacturer has been working with partners from Uzbekistan for over 10 years, so its products are well-known in the local market. On the eve of a trip to Tashkent, "Vitebskdrev" shipped 26 wagons with MDF/HDF boards so that buyers could familiarize themselves with and appreciate the woodworking plant's new products. "According to expert assessments, the quality of our products meets the requirements of local manufacturers, so at the end of spring, we plan to intensify our work in the Uzbek direction, taking into account the contacts developed during the exhibition", - said Yuri Doylin. In parallel, the implementation of a project to create a warehouse complex is planned, and a site has already been selected for its construction. With the appearance of such a facility, "Vitebskdrev" will have the opportunity to meet the needs of many small furniture manufacturers from Uzbekistan.
