JSC "Vityaz" has produced a prototype stationary electric charging station for electric vehicles
JSC "Vityaz" has developed and manufactured a prototype stationary electric charging station designed for charging electric vehicle batteries, as reported by the deputy chief designer of the enterprise, Dmitry Kharin.
The prototype is named "Vityaz EC-301". The station is intended for use in public places and can be installed in parking lots, at supermarket parking areas, and business centers, i.e., where a car is idle for several hours, which is sufficient for charging. The "Vityaz" product features two types of interfaces for connecting an electric vehicle to the charging device: a three-phase connector of European standard Type 2 and, as a universal option, a standard household "Euro socket". This allows the domestic development to be used for servicing electric vehicles from various manufacturers equipped with correspondingly different connector types.
The station provides the capability to charge electric vehicle batteries in two modes: with three-phase alternating current (380 V, 32 A, so-called Mode 3), which takes 2-4 hours, and in a single-phase mode (230 V, 16 A, or Mode 1), where the charging time can be up to 8-12 hours. The station's management system allows electric vehicle owners to perform the charging operation using a pre-paid contactless access card with RFID technology, ensuring all necessary safety parameters. Access to the station via mobile communication is also provided (via an SMS message to a specific number or using a mobile application). For convenience and clear perception of the electric charging station's status (i.e., to determine if it is occupied or free), a three-color LED indicator is provided on the station's housing, which also signals an emergency situation in case of malfunctions. According to its technical characteristics, the "Vityaz EC-301" is not inferior to
for foreign counterparts, it will be competitive in terms of price parameters, primarily due to the optimization of the component base used, noted Dmitry Kharin. After completing the refinement of various nuances of the electric charging station's operation, selecting optimal solutions, including from the perspective of safety and comfort for consumers, and conducting testing, the company plans to launch the product into mass production, the agency interlocutor added.Vitebsk Television Plant "Vityaz" was founded in 1976. In 2010, the enterprise was corporatized with a 100% state share in the authorized fund. OJSC "Vityaz" specializes in the production of televisions, household appliances, medical equipment, and other high-tech products.
