The mandatory accompaniment of children by adults at night will be enshrined in law
April 18, Glubokoye / Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. The mandatory accompaniment of children under 16 years of age by parents or guardians at night will be enshrined in Belarusian legislation, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko announced today at a meeting with the staff of the open joint-stock company "Glubokoye Dairy and Canned Goods Plant", according to a BELTA correspondent.
Vladimir Andreichenko noted that a number of draft laws are expected to be adopted at the penultimate session of this convocation, which required the deputies to work hard and study public opinion. Among such draft laws, he mentioned the adoption of amendments to the law on the fundamentals of the system for preventing neglect in the second reading. The amendments provide for the introduction of a restriction on the stay of children under 16 years of age from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the street without the accompaniment of parents or guardians. If a child is alone, law enforcement agencies will be obliged to deliver him to his parents within three hours; if this is not possible, he will be temporarily placed in a social shelter. "These amendments are aimed, first and foremost, at ensuring the safety of children," Vladimir Andreichenko emphasized. Administrative responsibility is provided for parents whose children are left unsupervised at night. -0-
