Employers' associations of the Vitebsk and Kaluga regions will support cooperation between enterprises of the regions

The cooperation agreement between employer associations of the Vitebsk and Kaluga regions provides an opportunity to render real assistance to enterprises in investment activities and the implementation of joint projects. Sergey Potekhin, General Director of the Kaluga Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, shared this opinion with a BELTA correspondent today after signing the document in Vitebsk. A number of enterprises in the Belarusian and Russian regions are already cooperating in the field of energy saving. The agreement will help intensify support for businessmen of the regions in industrial cooperation, organize legal assistance and legal support for investment activities, as well as support in resolving social issues. In addition, the Kaluga Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs intends to focus on efforts to combine the scientific and technical potential of the regions and initiate cooperation in the scientific sphere. "In this regard, we can be particularly useful to each other," believes Sergey Potekhin. According to the document, employer associations of the Belarusian and Russian regions will promote the establishment of mutually beneficial ties between enterprises and the development of production cooperation, scientific and technical cooperation, and trade and economic relations. The focus of the associations will be on the implementation of innovative developments and technologies, participation in joint projects and programs, and the exchange of experience. The agreement will create a basis for combining the potential of organizations in resolving problematic issues between enterprises of the regions, and organizing business meetings and exhibition events. "This will give another impetus for the development of business ties between our regions," emphasized Vladimir Turavinov, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Union of Employers, during the ceremony. The signing of the cooperation agreement was the final event of the joint meeting of the council of the Vitebsk Regional Union of Employers and the presidium of the Smolensk Regional Association of Employers "Scientific and Industrial Union". The participants of the event discussed the prospects for work, interaction and cooperation within the framework of the Customs Union of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan, as well as directions for improving trade and economic relations between Belarusian and Russian regions. More than 60 people took part in the event, including heads of business associations of the Vitebsk, Smolensk, Kaluga and Moscow regions, and directors of enterprises from Belarusian and Russian regions. During the meeting, an acquaintance with the production and development prospects of the open joint-stock company "Vitebskiye Kovry", on the basis of which business communication between representatives of Belarusian and Russian enterprises took place, was also organized. -0-
