Associations of employers of Vitebsk, Smolensk and Kaluga regions will support enterprise cooperation

May 23, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. The Vitebsk Regional Union of Employers (VOSN) has signed a trilateral cooperation agreement with employer associations of the Smolensk and Kaluga regions for the first time, which will significantly enhance the capabilities of business associations in providing practical assistance to enterprises in investment activities, establishing joint ventures, and financial and industrial groups. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Chairman of VOSN, Vladimir Turavinov. Until recently, the regional union of employers interacted with colleagues from Russian regions on a bilateral basis. The new trilateral cooperation format provides an opportunity to intensify support for businesses in the regions in industrial cooperation, increase the effectiveness of legal assistance and legal support for investment activities, as well as support in resolving social issues. In addition, the document creates conditions for strengthening the potential of employers in developing joint actions of business circles of the regions, taking into account modern requirements driven by modernization, innovative processes, and public-private partnerships in business-government relations, emphasized Vladimir Turavinov. In accordance with the document, employer associations of the Belarusian and Russian regions will promote the establishment of mutually beneficial ties between enterprises and the development of production cooperation, scientific and technical cooperation, and trade and economic relations. The focus of the associations will be on the implementation of innovative developments and technologies, participation in joint projects and programs, exchange of experience, and professional development of personnel. The agreement will create a basis for combining the potential of organizations in solving problematic issues between enterprises of the regions, organizing business meetings, and exhibition events. All this, in aggregate, will give another impetus for the development of business ties in general between the regions, emphasized Vladimir Turavinov. In addition, it is planned to expand the number of participants in the agreement in the future by including employer associations of the Tver and Pskov regions, with which the Vitebsk Regional Union of Employers currently interacts on a bilateral basis. The signing of the cooperation agreement was the final event of a joint meeting of the councils of the Vitebsk Regional Union of Employers, the Smolensk Regional Association of Employers "Scientific and Industrial Union," and the Regional Association of Employers "Kaluga Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs," which took place on May 18 in Smolensk. The Vitebsk Regional Union of Employers (VOSN) is the largest non-profit association of employers in the Dvina region, with over 270 enterprises and organizations as its members. The association was founded in 1999, and its branches have been established in 6 districts of the region. To date, the volume of industrial production of VOSN member enterprises accounts for about 80% of the total production volume of enterprises in the region. -0-
