There are fewer and fewer gambling establishments in the Vitebsk region

Объектов игорного бизнеса в Витебской области становится все меньше

In the Vitebsk region, the gambling business has quantitatively decreased over the last two years, and its contribution to the regional treasury's revenue is also declining.

According to the regional tax inspectorate, the volume of gambling tax revenues to the consolidated budget of the region amounted to about 30.2 billion rubles, which, in dollar equivalent, is approximately 0.2% less than two years ago. In total, there are slightly more than 920 taxable objects for this fiscal payment in the Vitebsk region, including 882 slot machines, 30 bookmaker's offices, and 9 gaming tables. Compared to the data as of January 1, 2013, their number has decreased by almost 17.3%. At the same time, the number of business entities operating in this sphere has more than doubled to 23 taxpayers, more than 50% of whom are registered for tax purposes in other regions of Belarus.

Today, gambling establishments in the Dvina region are located in 7 cities and two districts (Dubrovensky and Lioznensky). The largest number of them is in the regional center – 21 slot machine halls, 12 bookmaker's offices, and one casino, as well as in Orsha (9 slot machine halls, 5 bookmaker's offices).
