The volume of household services provided in rural areas of the Vitebsk region increases by 20% annually
February 9, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The volume of household services provided in rural areas of the Vitebsk region increases by 20% annually, Polina Sudilovskaya, head of the state institution "Department of Household Services for the Population of the Vitebsk Region," told a BELTA correspondent.
The work of rural household services has been significantly activated thanks to the state program for the revival and development of rural areas. Over the years of the program's implementation, 187 integrated reception points have been renovated in agro-towns in the region, jobs have been created for hairdressers, shoemakers, and seamstresses, and cars have been purchased to provide services in remote villages. New types of services have become available in district centers and agro-towns. For example, car repair shops have opened in Shumilino, Dubrovno, and the Orsha district, and the demand for housing repair and construction services, as well as the production of reinforced concrete products such as well rings and paving slabs, is growing. The average monthly income of one integrated reception point in the region exceeds Br1.3 million, and in the Sharkovshchinsky and Rossony districts, it is over Br2 million.
Rental services have become popular in rural areas. According to preliminary data, in 2009, they increased 1.9 times compared to 2008. Along with traditional TVs and refrigerators, in villages, you can rent concrete mixers, power tools, and lawn mowers. In rental points, villagers can use automatic washing machines and even sports equipment. Treadmills, strength training machines, and exercise bikes have been purchased in Braslav, Postavy, and Bogushevsk. The household service of Rossony plans to open a special area for skateboarding and rollerblading near the rental point by the beginning of the tourist season.
According to the Department of Household Services, the growth rate of household services provided in 2009 for the region as a whole was 114%. -0-
