April 30, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. The volume of housing construction in the Vitebsk region is planned to be increased by more than 22% to 860-870 thousand square meters this year. This was announced today by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets, during a meeting of the working group on the improvement of the regional center, according to a BELTA correspondent. In the first half of the year, 363 thousand square meters are to be commissioned. The task is quite achievable, the head of the regional executive committee is confident, as more than 130 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned based on the results of the first quarter alone. Alexander Kosinets also emphasized that the revision of potential sites for future new buildings revealed the possibility of carrying out densification of construction in the city.-0-
