The volume of reimbursed funds by obligated persons in the Vitebsk region increased to 48% over three years
March 29, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. About Br6 billion was reimbursed in 2009 by citizens whose children are under the care of state bodies. This was announced to journalists today by Tamara Olekhnovich, Deputy Chairperson of the Commission for Juvenile Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, BELTA correspondent reports.
The volume of reimbursed funds from planned accruals in the Vitebsk region increased from 23% in 2007 to 48% in 2009. Tamara Olekhnovich cited the Postavy district as a positive example of working with obligated persons. Here, 70% of obligated persons are given the opportunity to work part-time. As a result, 60% of the planned accrued amounts are reimbursed in the district.
At the same time, the main reasons for debt to the state for citizens deprived of parental rights are their alcoholism and lack of control by employers, believes Tamara Olekhnovich. In February alone, 2.9 thousand employed obligated persons committed 730 absences. At the same time, employers do not report such facts to the police or the employment service. -0-
