The regional military-patriotic game "Zarnitsa. Northern Region" is taking place in Vitebsk
– The Youth Law Enforcement Units unite over 1000 young men and women throughout the region. Guys from Dubrovno, Orsha, Lepel, Polotsk, Senno, and educational institutions of the region came to "Zarnitsa. Northern Region". First and foremost, the game is aimed at fostering a sense of patriotism in the young people. Since December last year, we have implemented a regional educational program for MOOP, where for six months the participants learned self-defense skills and first aid. They attended master classes and practical sessions at the Internal Affairs Directorate, the Department of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the Special Police Unit. The ultimate goal is to make them understand how important it is today to be a citizen of their country, – emphasized Vladimir Babichev, First Secretary of the Regional Committee of the BRSM.
Marina Novitskaya, Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee, noted that the military-patriotic game, which was first held in the USSR in 1967 and declared All-Union, has been successfully revived in the Dvina region.
– We can confidently say that each team will demonstrate its best qualities, sportsmanship, and team spirit. "Zarnitsa" provides a lot of emotions and teaches the main thing – to love and defend our Motherland, – added Marina Novitskaya.
– The upbringing of a patriot is a complex and multifaceted process that begins in early childhood and accompanies a person throughout their life. To become a defender of the Motherland, one must prepare for it, go through a school of courage. Our task is to consolidate knowledge and skills in physical training. Every year, young people from MOOP who participated in both "Zarnitsa" and other events join our service, – emphasized Major Andrey Balanescu, Deputy Commander for Ideological Work of Military Unit 52500.
15 teams arrived to compete for the title of the best. Young men and women will have to compete in grenade throwing for accuracy, a drill competition, pull-ups on the horizontal bar, go through an obstacle course, disassemble and assemble a Kalashnikov rifle, and more.
For example, the team from Chashniki District includes participants from the military-patriotic club of Secondary School No. 4, Daria Romantsova and Ekaterina Ustinova. The girls are participating in "Zarnitsa" for the first time, but they have already tested their skills in the military-patriotic game "Orlyonok".
– We tried shooting, assembling and disassembling the rifle. I think it will be interesting for everyone, including girls – brave fighters who can become an example for others. I believe that every student should go through such a test, because the game unites and broadens horizons, – shared Daria Romantsova.
The participants of the team from Lepel State Agrarian-Technical College (last year's winners) are confident that physical fitness is important in any endeavor, and military-patriotic games determine its level. Despite the fact that the team composition has been updated, the guys came not only to win, but also to get charged with positivity.
