The regional stage of the republican competition "Master of the Village" will take place tomorrow in Polotsk

More than ten families, who have become the best in their regions, will take part in it. This year's festival promises to be no less eventful and exciting. Initially, contestants will be invited to complete thematic challenges as part of a city tour, and then competitions await them at the site near the city Kurgan. Young families will take part in the "Exhibition of Family Farm Achievements", where they will treat jury members and guests of the event to pickles and jams, surprise with handicrafts, demonstrate their hobbies, and delight with songs and dances.

Project participants will also have to withstand a challenge that involves sawing a log, chopping firewood, and stacking it with jeweler's precision. The traditional competitions "Holiday Cart" and "Compressed Sheaf" will determine the best riders and craftswomen in assembling festive sheaves. And what rural resident can do without their second bread? During the challenges called "Potato Makers" and "Rural Delicacies", participants will have to prepare draniki (potato pancakes) according to their own recipes, which can be tasted not only by jury members but also by everyone who wishes. The competition "Best Rural Courtyard" will help identify the most thrifty participants.

The winners of the regional stage will advance to the final of the republican project for young families "Vlastelin sela", which will be held on September 19 in Gorodok as part of the regional agricultural workers' festival "Dazhynki-2014". Recall that in 2013, the main prize went to the Kulakov family from the Liozno district.
