The regional stage of the military-patriotic game "Orlyonok" was held in Vitebsk

For the first time, the regional stage of the military-patriotic game "Orlyonok", in which about 270 people took part, was held on the territory of the 103rd Vitebsk Separate Guards Airborne Brigade.
A total of 19 teams competed in Vitebsk for a spot in the republican final.

First of all, the young men and women had to demonstrate their skills in drill training. In parade uniform, the teams marched across the parade ground, demonstrating their posture and cohesion. As noted by the representatives of the airborne brigade's command staff who observed the participants, the schoolchildren marched so precisely that they could be placed in the ranks of servicemen.

In the creative greeting competition, each group had to present a creative presentation and introduce the judges to their team, region, educational institution, and talk about their work on patriotic education and preserving the memory of fallen defenders of the Fatherland.

The contestants demonstrated their knowledge of military history in an intellectual quiz tournament, and then showed their strength and agility in a relay race. In the military-tactical game, they had to demonstrate their ability to survive in extreme conditions and not abandon a wounded friend in need.

The contestants approached the preparation responsibly. Some waited a whole year for the regional stage and devoted the last month before the game to intensive training. This is exactly what the guys from Postavy did. The military-patriotic group of secondary school No. 4 cooperates with the border post. Schoolchildren attend classes daily in border guard uniforms. Every Saturday they visit the border post, and regularly go with their curators to other units. They were especially impressed by the overnight stay in the barracks in Smorgon. The Postavy residents have also visited the Border Guard Service Institute.

The heirs of the glorious traditions of the Vitebsk paratroopers, students of school No. 45 named after V.F. Margelov, who attend the military-patriotic elective and will become students of the cadet class next year, feel more than comfortable in the game. With mentors, servicemen of the renowned 103rd Airborne Brigade, they undergo drill training, physical training, and learn hand-to-hand combat. As the team members noted, their mothers are proud of them and do not dissuade them from such activities. One of the team members, Stanislav Golubovsky, dreams of entering the Military Academy after school and continuing the dynasty: his father also served in the Vitebsk paratroopers, and his great-grandfather fought in the Great Patriotic War.

As noted by the organizers of the regional stage, representatives of the Vitebsk Regional Palace of Children and Youth, the military-patriotic game "Orlyonok" is held to improve the system of patriotic education and pre-conscription training of students. Such events help foster an active civic position among young people.-0-
