The regional festival-competition for people with disabilities will be held in Vitebsk on September 4.

On September 4, the regional festival-competition of arts and crafts for people with disabilities "Sunny World for All-2015" will be held.

The main idea of the festival-competition is the inculturation and social adaptation of people with disabilities. The festival has been held for 4 years and unites creative people with disabilities from the Vitebsk region based on common interests, creates a communicative, artistically designed space that is so necessary for people, and provides an opportunity to exchange creative experience. The bright, life-affirming creativity of people fighting illness evokes admiration and respect for them and for those who help people with disabilities live a dignified, full life.

160 people from 24 Territorial Centers for Social Services of the Population of the Vitebsk region and the city of Vitebsk, and 5 regional disability societies are participating in the festival. The exhibition features 295 creative works by 113 authors, including 42 collective works. The techniques and types of creative works are diverse: graphics and painting, decoupage, ceramic sculpture, soft toys, ceramics, quilling, embroidery, knitting, weaving, items made from natural materials, beads, straw, fabric, felt wool, ribbons. The age of the participants is from 17 to 45 years.

The exhibition will be open from September 1 to 30.

Festival Program

September 4

From 10:00 AM, participants and guests of the festival will familiarize themselves with the exhibition of creative works at the Rathaus, then at 11:10 AM, the awarding of winners and participants of the competition with diplomas and memorable gifts will take place at the Concert Hall "Vitebsk", followed by a concert with the participation of creative groups from the Vitebsk Culture Center.

Gifts are provided by the regional and city organizations "BRSM", ChTUP "MegaEurotex", UP "Kosmetika Plyus" ("Yves Rocher"), and the portal "gorodvitebsk.by".

At the I.E. Repin Museum-Estate "Zdravnevo", from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, participants of the competition can expect museum tours, master classes in sculpting, string art, and wool felting conducted by teachers from the Art and Graphics Department of VSU named after P.M. Masherov, as well as a master class in origami, twist dolls, and acting from students of the Vitebsk College of Culture and Arts. Students from the Vitebsk Industrial-Pedagogical College will offer exclusive makeup, manicures, and cute temporary tattoos to all interested attendees.

A sports play area will be organized by the staff of the Vitebsk Regional Educational and Methodological Center for Physical Education of the Population.

Everyone will have the opportunity to transform into characters from Repin's paintings created in "Zdravnevo" at the improvised photo studio "Elegant Light Painting".

A tea party with a tasting of products from Vitebsk enterprises "Vitebskhlebprom", "Vitba", "Dvinskij brovar", "Moloko", and "Vitebskaya broiler poultry farm" will take place in the Repin garden.

Many city institutions and societies, for whom no trouble is foreign, assisted in organizing the celebration. After all, there is nothing more joyful in life than bringing joy to others.
