The renewal of the ambulance fleet with domestic vehicles has begun in the Vitebsk region

March 26, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The first domestic ambulance car with equipment for providing high-tech care of levels 2-3 was sent today to the Sharkovshchina district, the head of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's healthcare department, Yury Derkach, told a BELTA correspondent. The car is equipped with modern medical equipment that allows for assistance at the level of an intensive care unit of a district or regional hospital and for transporting seriously ill patients over long distances. In total, medics will receive 88 similar vehicles this year. One car each will be sent to district centers, Polotsk and Novopolotsk will receive 10 cars each, another 16 ambulances will go to Orsha, and the rest will remain in Vitebsk. Currently, there are 5 cars of this class in the entire region. The need to increase the number of intensive care ambulances is due to the implementation of the provisions of the National Program for Demographic Security and the regional program developed on its basis, which provide for, among other things, strengthening the material and technical base of emergency medical care. Funds for the purchase of vehicles will be allocated from regional and district budgets. The production of modern ambulances has been established by a resident of the FEZ "Vitebsk", the Belarusian-Russian joint limited liability company "Grandiscar". -0-
