Updated regional and city Honor Boards opened in Vitebsk
A solemn ceremony of awarding enterprises and organizations for labor achievements in 2015 to the regional and city Boards of Honor was held in Vitebsk.
Congratulating the winners, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies Vladimir Terentyev noted that advanced teams and their best representatives strengthen and develop the region's economy with concrete actions. "There are many worthy people and teams in the region. But those who, despite the difficult economic situation, managed to improve their work and continue to maintain the momentum, have been named the best," he said, adding that the example of the winners of the labor competition is the basis for further growth, implementation of new plans, programs, and projects for all who follow them.
Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee Viktor Nikolaikin also expressed words of congratulations and gratitude to the front-runners. "We have preserved and are developing a good tradition of honoring workers and teams on the eve of May Day, who make a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the Vitebsk region with their labor," he said. Akif Gasymov, Director of the Monolit radio parts plant, thanked the city and regional leadership on behalf of all laureates for the high assessment of their activities. He noted that "Monolit" is currently a stably developing enterprise.
"In three years, we have invested more than Br50 billion in the development of the plant, and this year we intend to invest about another Br20 billion. For three years, we have increased production volume by 30% annually," the director said. "We are also actively working in the social sphere – we are building our own recreation center, and in the factory canteen, we will practice 50% subsidizing of meals for our employees." 20 enterprises and organizations became winners of the labor competition for achieving the best results in fulfilling the forecast indicators of socio-economic development, increasing production efficiency, and ensuring high indicators at the regional level in 2015; another 16 teams were awarded to the Vitebsk Board of Honor. Among the front-runners are Novopolotsk, Tolochinsky district, Energokomplekt, Fortex - Water Technologies, Alyansplast, Dokshitsky bakery, Polotsk-S"Tekstil'noe volokno", "Nefte zavod montazh", Vitebsk Radio Components Plant "Monolit", Vitebsk Oil Extraction Plant, Kokhanovo Housing and Communal Services Enterprise, agricultural enterprises "Olgovskoe" and "Khotily-Agro", Orsha Forestry, "Vitebskgrazhdanproekt", Gymnasiums No. 1 and No. 8 of Vitebsk, Vitebsk State University named after Masherov, Center of Culture "Vitebsk", Vitebsk City Clinical Dental Polyclinic, Territorial Center for Social Services for the Population of Pervomaysky District of Vitebsk, Vitebsk Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve No. 1, Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore, Institute of Technical Acoustics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
