During the major renovation, the preschool institution has been almost completely transformed: walls and floors have been insulated, window units, utility networks, and the building's roof have been replaced. Modern technological equipment has been installed in the food block. In accordance with modern requirements, the offices of the teacher-psychologist, teacher-defectologist, the physical education and music hall, and cozy children's bedrooms have been equipped. Group rooms are furnished with modern furniture, play and sensory equipment, and development zones. Interactive learning tools have been acquired for the comprehensive development of children. The kindergarten's territory has been fully landscaped and fenced. New sunshades, play complexes, and sandboxes have been installed on its playgrounds. A total of over Br2 million was spent on the project implementation.

The preschool institution will accommodate over 100 children aged from 1.5 to 7 years.

Nikolai Sherstnev addressed the warmest words to all participants of the festive event. He emphasized that it is very important to invest not only in economic but also in social and household projects. "Today, the budget is almost entirely focused on the social sphere. All available funds are spent on its maintenance and development," said the governor. Every year, new social facilities are built in the region: cultural centers, hospitals, polyclinics, bridges, kindergartens, schools, and sports and recreation complexes.

"We want more, and it depends on us. If we work better, our economy, enterprises, and consequently our settlements will have more opportunities for development," concluded Nikolai Sherstnev. On the eve of Knowledge Day, he wished that Polotsk would grow with such facilities every year.

As reported by Irina Drozdova, Head of the Education Department of the Polotsk District Executive Committee, all educational institutions in the district have received readiness certificates for the new academic year. Teachers are eagerly and joyfully awaiting their meeting with the children. This year, 10.6 thousand students will attend schools in the district, including more than 1 thousand first-graders. Preschool institutions will open their doors to 4.7 thousand children.
