The renovated Palace of Culture is planned to open this year in Orsha
The Palace is undergoing a radical renovation. A circus hall will be created there, the large auditorium will be seriously reconstructed and equipped with modern equipment. A recording studio, a conference hall, and a sewing workshop will appear – this will allow employees to create costumes for performances independently. An elevator for people with disabilities will also be installed.
"The palace has been replanned, and after the completion of the work, the conditions for the clubs and collectives will be improved, almost each will have its own premises," noted Sergey Gorbachev. "Kudos to the designers and architects who decided to restore all the stucco molding, columns, and other elements of the building. These details are very dear to local residents."
Currently, interior finishing works are actively underway. About 200 specialists work at the site daily.
The Palace of Culture was built in 1956, and its reconstruction began in 2019. The customer is the Capital Construction Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, and the general contractor is Orsha Construction Trust No. 18. Br3 million each from the republican and local budgets have been allocated for the work. The reconstruction is being carried out under Decree No. 506 "On the Development of the Orsha District."
