Children's voices will soon be heard at the Druzhba Children's Health Camp. On June 1, the children's health resort will open its doors to the first hundred children. Campfires, sports activities, contests, discos, and various activities await the young campers. Educators promise them a rich program throughout the 18-day marathon for all 4 shifts.
During the grand opening, Vladimir Terentyev noted that children's health improvement during the summer period is a wonderful tradition that came to us from the Soviet past.
— It is important that we not only preserve it as a socially oriented recreation for our children, but also improve the material and technical base, — said the head of the deputy corps. — The older generation is used to camping and more Spartan conditions, but it is the 21st century. And the fact that camps now have swimming pools, salt rooms, and cinemas indicates that the system is developing. Today, both the state and enterprises that send children subsidize vouchers. It is very pleasant that the number of camps is growing; this year, two more camps will open than last year. By sending their child here, parents can be sure that their son or daughter will have a wonderful time with benefits and improve their health. Camp Director Svetlana Vyazitskaya emphasized that a great deal of work had been done this year to prepare for the summer health season: the territory was improved, and cosmetic repairs were carried out in the summer and main buildings. The material base was also strengthened, and sports equipment was purchased. Of course, the main achievement is the repaired and modernized medical building, which now has two new rooms: a salt room and a room with a home theater. For the convenience of the boys and girls, the premises are equipped with modern soft beanbag chairs.
