The Obilsky Ceramic Plant plans to launch a workshop for the production of porous wall materials by 2013.
August 13, Minsk /Elena Demeshkevich - BELTA/. KPUP "Obol Ceramic Plant" plans to build and commission a workshop for the production of porous wall materials by 2013. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent at the enterprise.
"We are a very energy-intensive enterprise with a huge fuel consumption. We are uncompetitive today. Therefore, it is time for reconstruction," the plant said.
Currently, the enterprise is preparing documentation for the economic justification of the workshop under construction. It is planned that its commissioning will increase production capacity and master the production of a new type of product - porous blocks. The capacity of the new workshop will be 90 million pieces of conditional bricks per year. The cost of the project is estimated at Br130 billion.
It is expected that the development of the production of energy-saving wall building materials will reduce natural gas consumption by 21% per 1 thousand conditional bricks. This will also provide the construction complex with new efficient wall materials and increase the efficiency of production and economic activities, which in turn will favorably affect the financial situation of the plant.
In January-July of the current year, Obol Ceramic Plant increased its production volume by 21.8% compared to the same period last year. The sale of bricks during the specified period increased by 33.9%.
In 2010, the plant fulfilled a large-scale order - large batches of clinker bricks were supplied for the reconstruction of the recreation area on the "Komsomolskoye Lake" reservoir, Lida Castle, as well as for the reconstruction of a number of historical sites in Belarus. The production of clinker bricks at the enterprise was mastered in 2005.
Obol Ceramic Plant was founded in 1929. Currently, it is the largest enterprise in Belarus for the production of bricks and ceramic products, producing clinker and ceramic bricks, paving tiles, and art ceramics. In 2007, the plant implemented the ISO 2001 product quality management system. -0-
