An entrepreneur will build a socio-cultural center and a four-hall cinema in Vitebsk on the site of unused buildings
At the beginning of the week, the businessman acquired the property as a result of an auction organized by the Vitebsk Regional Property Committee, offering over 186 thousand rubles for the purchase. The lot includes a two-story industrial building with an area of almost 1.7 thousand sq. m with six extensions, a small checkpoint, and the right to a 25-year lease of a 0.15 ha land plot.
According to the new owner, considering the location of the property, it is planned to create a public and cultural facility on its basis, which also provides for the possibility of providing services for healthy lifestyle enthusiasts.
Vasily Romanenko refrained from commenting on the commissioning dates of the new center, but commented on the situation regarding several other buildings that are in his ownership and attract increased attention from citizens.
Construction of a four-hall cinema on the site of "Brigantina" will begin in 2019
Vasily Romanenko predicted a quick revival at the site around the "Brigantina" cinema. Recently, the project for creating a four-hall cinema on its basis has passed expert review. A tender is currently being organized to select a contractor. Work at the site is expected to begin in the spring of 2019. The main part of the work is related to doubling the number of halls: new ones will be added to the existing premises.
In addition, construction workers have begun work on the building of the former Krupkaya Regional Children's Library, located on Lenin Street in Vitebsk. Vasily Romanenko suggested that the building could be renovated by the next festival "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk". The building is being reconstructed into an office center, and it is possible that part of the premises will be occupied by a cultural facility.
