Public discussion of the Suikovo suburban development microdistrict project has begun in Vitebsk

Public discussion of the urban development project "Detailed plan of the private housing microdistrict "Suikovo" has begun in Vitebsk, the acting head of the architecture and urban planning department of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, Leonid Bogdanov, told a BELTA correspondent. The project materials are posted on the city executive committee's website, where anyone can leave their suggestions. Constructive comments will be taken into account, after which the project, in accordance with the Law "On Architectural, Urban Planning and Construction Activities in the Republic of Belarus," will be submitted for expert review. The Suikovo microdistrict will be built in the northwest of the regional center. As proposed by the project developers, it is designed for 117 individual residential buildings. In addition, the designers have provided for the construction of a kindergarten, an elementary school, two shops, a household services enterprise, a pharmacy, a bank branch, and a health and recreation center in the microdistrict. The development project also provides for engineering and transport support. As Leonid Bogdanov noted, public discussion of urban development projects is a good support for the work of designers, which allows for the development of urban development plans taking into account the needs of potential residents. In the near future, the urban development project for the Tulovo microdistrict of individual housing for 500 houses will also be submitted for public discussion. According to the land management service of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, there are about 900 citizens on the waiting list for housing improvement who wish to build individual housing. This year, the applications of 150 people on the waiting list have been satisfied. -0-
