Combines "shod in tracks" will appear at this year's harvest in the Vitebsk region

Gomselmash OJSC crawler combine harvesters will operate in the fields of the Vitebsk region for the first time during this harvest, the committee for agriculture and food of the regional executive committee reported.

The need for such equipment is due to the fact that the region's fields are oversaturated with moisture. For ordinary combine harvesters, working in such conditions is a problem, but for those "shod in tracks" it is a common occurrence.

The regional agricultural department noted that previously, Russian-made crawler combine harvesters worked in the region's grain fields. Now, such high-pass agricultural harvesting machinery is produced by the Belarusian "Gomselmash" and is mainly supplied to Russia. There are practically no crawler combine harvesters in the domestic fields. "Today, the first Gomel crawler combine harvester has arrived in the region, and we expect several more machines in the coming days. It is assumed that the equipment will work during the harvest in the Braslav district," the committee explained.
