Blankets and pillows made of bamboo fiber are sewn at SOOO "Lanatex" in Gorodok
On domestic and foreign markets, SOOO "Lanatex" has been known since 1996. During this time, the company has managed to establish itself as a reliable partner and a quality manufacturer. Blankets, quilts, pillows, bed sheets, vests, belts, and other products made of sheep wool are especially valuable today, as they are made from an environmentally friendly natural material.
Modern technologies for processing raw materials with antistatic and mothproofing agents increase the service life of items while preserving all their beneficial properties. For example, woolen bedding is soft and gentle to the touch, provides active air circulation, is hygroscopic, and is an excellent thermoregulator, creating an optimal microclimate for healthy sleep. Unlike down and feather alternatives, it does not contain microorganisms. It has therapeutic and prophylactic properties: lanolin in wool helps open skin pores, restore blood circulation, improve well-being, and increase vitality. It is especially recommended for people with manifestations of arthritis, rheumatism, gout, osteochondritis, and those suffering from muscle pain. The same fabric is used for the production of outerwear for children and adults, house slippers, therapeutic warming elbow pads, knee pads, and belts as is used in the manufacture of woolen blankets. The use of woolen warming products is the best prevention of inflammatory processes in the body. Dry heat and micro-massage, as well as other beneficial properties of wool, provide a health-improving effect.
Products from "Lanatex", manufactured in our region, can be found in stores, at exhibitions, and in trade rows during the "Slavyansky Bazaar". Even in the summer, it is always in demand. Awards also speak of quality: numerous diplomas and medals received at industry exhibitions in Moscow, Sochi, and Minsk. One of the latest, a platinum medal and the Quality Mark of the 21st Century, was brought from Kyiv from the "Textile EXPO-2013" exhibition.
— We present our products, keep track of new items from other manufacturers, look for fresh ideas and bring them to life, — says the enterprise director Oleg Popov.
The production branches of SOOO "Lanatex" in the Vitebsk region were previously located at three addresses: in the regional center, Beshenkovichi, and Gorodok. A few weeks ago, the units moved and were located under one roof, in the building of the former repair plant in Gorodok. There are enough premises there, even considering further expansion of production. And it is not far off. The sewing department started operating on December 4.
— We have a very rich assortment — more than 100 product names, — details the workshop manager Svetlana Belyakova, — nevertheless, the search for new solutions continues. The main feature of the products is the natural fur of the New Zealand merino sheep, which has the best qualities. In winter, it is warm in clothes made from it, and in summer, it is not hot. We buy wool, and we make the fabric ourselves. Those who have purchased our products never regret it. We ship goods to all regional centers, to Minsk. A lot of products go to Russia, in particular, to Moscow. Autumn-winter is the peak of sales. Sometimes demand even exceeds supply.
Slippers are especially in demand now. A whole line is working on their production. Blankets, pillows, and vests are also selling out fast. In winter, everyone wants to stay warm, and the products of "Lanatex" are indispensable here.
By the way, for those who, for whatever reason, do not wish to use bedding made of natural wool, "Lanatex" offers an alternative – blankets and pillows made of bamboo fiber. It does not generate static electricity, does not cause allergies, increases the body's immune system resistance, promotes skin hydration, and prevents skin aging.
The range is intended to be expanded further. It is quite likely that a new collection of outerwear made of fur and suede will appear here soon, and it will include not only the vests loved by many, but also jackets. The company also plans to increase the monthly production volume of blankets to 3-5 thousand units, slippers – up to 5 thousand pairs, pillows, belts, and elbow pads – up to 3 thousand. Therefore, the workshop needs more workers. Currently, 18 people are employed in production. There is room for at least 8 more.
