With just notes, Belarusian border guards won the heart of jubilee Polotsk
May 25, Polotsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Belarusian border guards won the heart of jubilee Polotsk with just notes. A plaza concert by the exemplary band of the Border Guard Service of the Republic of Belarus was successfully held on Skaryna Square in Polotsk, reports a BELTA correspondent.
The brass band performed popular jazz and pop compositions, military marches, and Belarusian folk songs. The audience was impressed not only by the performers' skill but also by the diverse talents of the musicians. At the conductor's cue, they transformed into a choir, then a dance group. And the conductor himself, not only led the large orchestra but also sang, danced, and proved to be an excellent showman. The border guards' talents did not go unnoticed: the audience, numbering several hundred people, generously applauded, and the military band was seen off from the plaza with a standing ovation and flowers.
Polotsk residents have enough applause and flowers for all the artists who will come to congratulate their ancient and eternally young city on its 1150th anniversary. The city is holding its breath in anticipation of the grand opening of the celebration, which will take place today. -0-
