This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Ideological Work Department of the Regional Executive Committee. Traditionally, the event will be held under the flags of the Vitebsk region and Vitebsk, which will be raised at the epicenter of the celebrations on Victory Square. The celebrations will begin with laying wreaths and flowers at the Eternal Flame at the memorial complex in honor of the liberator soldiers, partisans and underground fighters of the Vitebsk region. After the ceremony, a rally will be held with the participation of the leaders of the region and the city, veterans, representatives of labor collectives, youth organizations, and educational institutions. Military honors will be paid by servicemen of the Vitebsk garrison units. The military ritual will launch the most large-scale stage of the program - the theatrical demonstration. This year, the formation of columns will be organized by sectors, which will be represented by labor collectives of more than 70 enterprises, as well as social service institutions and law enforcement agencies. Each of the columns will have its own features in terms of thematic design and composition of participants. For the first time, a BelAZ truck will drive through the streets of Vitebsk, and agricultural enterprises of the Vitebsk region will demonstrate new agricultural machinery. Youth representatives will close the column. On this day, festive and entertainment events will be held at all concert venues and in park zones of Vitebsk, as well as in the regional centers. In the regional center, one of the highlights of the program promises to be the water sports festival "Youth of the Dvina Land" in the park on the bank of the Vitba River. Organizers invite Vitebsk residents and guests of the city to take part in folk festivals, various competitions and contests. The final concert with the participation of stars of Belarusian and Russian pop music will be held on the renovated Victory Square, where a stage will be set up. At the end of the festive show, the square will host the "Let's Sing the Anthem Together!" event for the first time, with leading choral groups of the regional center performing as soloists. The sky over the square will be illuminated by fireworks at the final chords of the anthem. -0-
