About 10,000 consultations were provided by doctors during the two-day exhibition "Vitebshchina - for a healthy lifestyle"
November 19, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. About 10,000 Vitebsk residents received medical consultations over two days of the III International Exhibition-Fair "Vitebsk Region - for a Healthy Lifestyle," the Vitebsk Regional Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology, and Public Health informed a BELTA correspondent.
The largest number of consultations were with a therapist, cardiologist, allergist, and endocrinologist. The public also had many questions regarding various aspects of children's health, oncological diseases, and overcoming alcohol and nicotine addiction. Many exhibition visitors were able to consult with different specialists, learn about alternative treatment methods (apitherapy, hirudotherapy), and create a "health passport" indicating health risk factors, body mass index, height, and weight. About 500 people received such a document. A total of about 15 doctors are working at the exhibition.
An important component of the exhibition-fair is the participation of industrial and food enterprises, which widely present their products. This year, the fair is attended by manufacturers from Vitebsk and Minsk regions, and guests from the Smolensk and Pskov regions of Russia.
The main goal of the exhibition, which will run until November 20, is to inform the public about all aspects of a healthy lifestyle and promote a responsible approach to one's health. Over the two years of its operation, it has already gained significant public interest in the regional center, specialists noted. -0-
