About 1.4 thousand employees of enterprises and organizations will help Vitebsk region farmers during the sowing campaign

"To carry out spring field work within optimal deadlines and organize the operation of energy-intensive equipment in several shifts, more than 7.5 thousand machine operators must work during the sowing campaign. Currently, there are about 6.1 thousand of them in the farms. The problem of a shortage of labor, as in previous years, will be solved by attracting specialists from industrial enterprises and institutions of the region," the committee noted. Currently, all forces at agricultural enterprises are focused on repairing and preparing equipment for field work, which should be fully ready in two weeks. The most problematic issue of the upcoming sowing campaign is fuel supply. For the entire complex of field work, agricultural enterprises need 29.3 thousand tons of fuel worth Br330 billion.
