About 1.5 hectares of wheat crops were burned in the Orsha district, the propaganda and training center at the Vitebsk regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told a BELTA correspondent. The fire occurred on the field of IE "ShtotsAgroservice". By the time the rescuers arrived, the fire had spread over an area of about 25 hectares. Mostly stubble was burning (grain had already been harvested on 23.5 hectares). In addition to fire crews, 40 farm specialists eliminated the incident, and 4 units of equipment were also involved. As a result, the fire destroyed about 1.5 hectares of wheat field. The "Lida-1300" combine harvester, which was working in the burned field, was not damaged. A check is being carried out regarding this fact, during which the causes of the fire and material damage will be established. In the Tolochin district, on the field of SPC "Zvenyachi" near the village of Maloye Vysokoye, a fire broke out in an MTZ-82 tractor belonging to OJSC "Kokhanovsky Excavator Plant". The tractor was involved in applying mineral fertilizers. As a result of the fire, the engine compartment and cabin of the vehicle were damaged. The suspected cause of the incident is a short circuit in the tractor's wiring. -0-
