April 7, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. About 1.5 thousand works are presented at the reporting exhibition of the vocational education system of the Vitebsk region, the head of the department for technical and artistic creativity of vocational education institutions of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's education department, Olga Baranok, told a BELTA correspondent. The exhibition is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the creation of the state system of vocational education and the 65th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. The exposition includes the best works created by students and staff of 35 vocational schools and 12 secondary vocational schools in the region. These include embroidery, tapestries, batik, items made of willow and straw, wood carving, unique beaded gardens and groves, furniture, collections of clothing, footwear and accessories for them, hairstyle samples made on wigs, and mock-ups of culinary delights. Due to the huge number of exhibits, the exhibition is organized in two educational institutions: Vitebsk State Technological University and Vocational School No. 12. The works can be viewed until April 16. The best of them (400-500 items) will be selected by the jury to participate in the final stage of the republican festival of arts and crafts "Belaruski Vianok", which will be held in May in Minsk. The high level of professionalism and skill of students in the vocational education system of the Vitebsk region has long been highly appreciated in the country. Based on the results of last year, vocational education institutions of Pridvinye received 45 diplomas for their works (15 first places, 15 second places, and 15 third places) in the republican review of technical and decorative and applied arts. This is the highest figure among all regions of the republic, Olga Baranok emphasized. Today, honorary diplomas will be presented to representatives of educational institutions at the opening of the exhibition. -0-
