About 20 small architectural forms are planned to be installed in various districts of Vitebsk
As part of the external improvement of the urban space, auxiliary architectural structures and decorative elements will appear near administrative and public buildings, and will be used in the arrangement of streets, public gardens, and other recreational areas. For example, an Owl will appear on the site near the Vitebsk branch of the MITSO International University, a place is being prepared for a Hippopotamus near the "Gippo" shopping center, and the "Lantern with an Umbrella" bench will add extra comfort to the space on Kosmonavtov Street. Trees near the railway station will be decorated with small forms, and a designer street bench near the department store will add functionality to the public area in the central part of the city.
In addition, in preparation for the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" festival, the reconstruction of Freedom Square will be completed with the replacement of curb stones and the framing of flower beds in the central part of the city on Frunze Avenue and Lenin Street. For the regional holiday of rural workers, the capital of which will be Vitebsk, it is planned to complete the renovation of the public garden near the railway station on Kirova Street with the organization of architectural lighting and the installation of a sculptural composition.
Also, plans include painting the plinths of residential buildings on central avenues and about ten streets in various parts of the regional center. Fences made of stainless and galvanized steel will be installed on 19 sections of city highways. Along with current repairs of bus stops, it is planned to purchase 26 new structures. The construction of pedestrian paths and landscaping in the Park of 1000th Anniversary, in the territory adjacent to the new Bilevo residential microdistricts, is being completed. Since the beginning of the year, more than 20 playgrounds have been equipped, and it is planned to purchase about 250 units of play equipment for these purposes for Br200 thousand. To improve the level of greening of urban areas, more than 6 thousand trees and almost 290 thousand flowers have been planted.
