About 25 teams will take part in the regional game "Zarnitsa" in Vitebsk
The thirteenth regional military-sports game "Zarnitsa", dedicated to the 68th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, starts today in Vitebsk, BELTA was informed by the Vitebsk regional committee of the NGO "Belarusian Republican Youth Union".
About 25 teams of 7 people each, representing educational institutions of the region, will take part in the competition. The participants will compete in a march with obstacles (distance 1500-2000 m). The teams need to complete several stages: transporting a casualty, shooting from an air rifle, crossing, obstacle course, grenade throwing, ford crossing, setting up a tent, disassembling and assembling an assault rifle. In addition, the program includes a drill and song competition, "Combat Leaflet", presentation of creative performances, paintball, and medical training competitions.
"The participants will have to show resilience and team spirit in the field game. The conditions for its conduct will be announced immediately before the start. Special competitions are also included in the program of the military-sports game. "Memory" (about memorable places and obelisks of their locality) and "Pages of the Fatherland's History". The latter test is conducted in a test format," - emphasized the regional committee of the NGO "BRSM".
The thirteenth regional military-sports game "Zarnitsa" will be held in Vitebsk on May 16-17 at the base of the UCU "Vitebsk Aeroclub named after Alexander Gorovets". The goal is the patriotic education of youth through the examples of the heroic feat of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War, the popularization of service in the ranks of the Armed Forces, and the improvement of the physical fitness of pre-conscription youth.
