About 2.5 million rubles were raised at the auctions of the Vitebskoblimushchestvo committee this year

The building of the former dormitory of the Polotsk Chemical-Technological College, which is a historical and cultural value, became the most expensive item at the auction sold in 2019 at the tender of the Vitebskoblimushchestvo committee. It was acquired by a Novopolotsk company for almost 565 thousand rubles.

In the historical development zone of the public center of Polotsk on F. Skorina Avenue, the investor intends to revive the hotel complex called "Grand Hotel" that existed in this building in the 19th century, as well as to create related entertainment industry facilities. The project is planned to be implemented within approximately two years. As explained by a representative of the investing company, the building dates back to the 1870s, but there is data indicating a possibly earlier construction time and a different purpose. Fragments of ancient hexagonal tiles have been preserved in it, in some places – fireplace heating, and bricks with fingerprints of builders from the last century have been found. Such elements are intended to be made accessible for viewing by guests of the future complex and tourists.

And the largest real estate transaction in the Vitebsk region in 2019 was made on October 11 on the trading platform torgi.gov.by of the Information Center of the Ministry of Economy of Belarus.

A complex of warehouse buildings and administrative premises with equipment, belonging to the Polotsk Universal Base, which is undergoing rehabilitation, was sold for almost 2.5 million rubles to a private company from Minsk.

Another large-scale transaction took place at the end of September on the electronic platform RUP "Belyurobespechenie". A production site for growing broiler chickens, located west of the agro-town of Sloboda, Shumilinsky district, was bought in parts by the sole participant in the electronic auction for a total of over 1.2 million rubles. The complex, which belonged to KUSKhP "Sirotinskoye", consists of 26 buildings for various purposes (including 15 poultry houses) with a total area of over 30.8 thousand square meters and was leased until recently to OOO "Vitkonprodukt".

According to specialists of the Vitebsk Regional Property Committee, there is increased and focused interest in vacant real estate this year.

As of mid-October, buildings and structures sold through Vitebsk Regional Property Committee auctions alone amounted to approximately 2.5 million rubles, which is almost 1.6 times the amount of funds raised from real estate sales in the first 10 months of 2018.

Moreover, buyers prefer to acquire desirable properties either without a price reduction or at auctions for a single base value.

For instance, recently a new owner was found for a complex of buildings of a former auto repair shop, which had been put up for auction for the 17th time since September 2015. The lot includes 8 buildings of various functional purposes (garages, warehouses, etc.) with a total area of over 2.8 thousand sq. m, as well as road infrastructure and land plots exceeding 2.3 hectares, leased for 27 years. The new owner of the property complex is individual entrepreneur Sergey Rudokha from the Orsha district. The businessman plans to use the real estate to develop activities related to the repair and maintenance of equipment. In particular, this involves organizing the production of parts and mechanisms using original technologies. This will not only diversify the business but also allow for a comprehensive approach to supporting technical sports, an area Sergey Rudokha and a group of like-minded entrepreneurs have been involved in since the early 2000s.
