About 30% of Vitebsk Biopharma's products need to be exported - S. Sidorsky

April 10, Vitebsk region / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. About 30% of the Vitebsk Biopharma Factory's products should be exported. Belarusian Prime Minister Sergei Sidorsky stated this today during a visit to the enterprise, BELTA correspondent reports. The Prime Minister instructed the State Committee for Standardization to assist the biopharma factory in obtaining international certificates. According to the factory director Arkady Yudasin, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Kazakhstan have shown interest in the enterprise's products. The enterprise has already certified two serums of Vitebsk production in Turkey. "The creation of import-substituting production facilities and the release of import-substituting products allow for a reduction in the country's foreign currency expenditures. This is especially important in the context of the global economic crisis," Sergei Sidorsky emphasized. The Vitebsk Biopharma Factory was founded in 1930. It specializes in the production of complex therapeutic, prophylactic, and diagnostic preparations for veterinary medicine. According to the results of the first quarter of 2009, the production growth rate compared to the corresponding period of 2008 was 123.1%. Products worth Br2.3 billion were produced at comparable prices. The enterprise's net profit in the first quarter was Br70 million, with a profitability of 12%. -0-
