About 30 messages were received in the first week of operation of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office hotline

April 8, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. About 30 calls were received during the first week of operation of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office hotline, Irina Tavtyn, Senior Assistant to the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor for Legal Support, Information and Public Relations, told a BELTA correspondent. "Some of them concern the work of law enforcement agencies. However, many calls were also received on pressing issues for citizens," Irina Tavtyn noted. For example, topics raised included elevator repair in a building with a large number of pensioners, salary payments, and utility bill charges. None of the received appeals will be left without attention. Each of them will be considered by the prosecutor's office or sent for resolution and response preparation to the relevant department or body, the prosecutor emphasized. The residents of the regional center showed the greatest activity in contacting the hotline, which indicates their high level of awareness and active stance. Calls were also received from Orsha, Senno, Miory districts, and Novopolotsk. A permanent hotline was opened at the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office on April 1. Calls about planned or committed crimes, corruption, abuse of official powers, and other violations of the law are accepted from the public around the clock automatically at the phone number (8-0212) 47-52-19. -0-
