Heavy snowfalls that hit the Vitebsk region in early January caused a lot of trouble for utility workers and road service employees. Unscrupulous car owners who park their cars in the wrong places or leave them for a long time, which in the corresponding weather conditions leads to a narrowing of the roadway, hinders the passage and operation of other vehicles, have become an additional obstacle reducing the effectiveness of their work. The traffic police manage to find the majority of such violators. Cars whose owners are not identified, and this is about 50 cars daily, are evacuated to a paid parking lot. Four tow trucks of the traffic police department and utility company special equipment are engaged in the evacuation of cars parked in violation or hindering the work of utility workers, which is quite enough for clearing "snowdrops".
