About 300 works were submitted by young residents of the Vitebsk region to the ecological drawing competition, a BELTA correspondent was informed at the Vitebsk Regional Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection.
In total, 263 drawings and 35 applications from all regions of the Vitebsk region were received for the regional stage of the republican competition for the best children's drawing on an ecological theme. "In their works, the children reflected the multifaceted beauty of our planet, focused on modern environmental threats, and the impact of the anthropogenic factor. In each of them, one can feel a call to love and protect their nature," the committee emphasized, noting the special flavor of the works by pupils and students of educational institutions in Vitebsk, Novopolotsk, Vitebsk, Senno, Braslav, Verkhnedvinsk, Beshenkovichi, and Chashniki districts.
The winners of the regional stage have already been determined. In the age group from 3 to 5 years, the first place for the drawing "Let's Help Our Feathered Friends" was awarded to five-year-old Anastasia Kosopalikova, a pupil of Verkhnedvinsk State Kindergarten No. 4. In the age group from 6 to 10 years, the drawing "Summer Evening" by 7-year-old Sofia Popravko, a student of the I.F. Khrutsky Children's Art School in Novopolotsk, won a confident victory.
The works of the winners and prize-winners of the regional competition will be sent to the republican organizing committee of the competition by April 1 for participation in the final stage, the results of which will be known in early May.
