About 50 cases of "envelope" salary payments were detected by tax authorities in the Vitebsk region over 9 months

"Tax authorities of the Vitebsk region, during control measures for compliance with labor legislation by employers in January-September of the current year, identified 46 business entities paying wages "in envelopes". As a result of the measures taken, Br129.5 million was additionally charged, including Br81 million in income tax. Administrative fines totaling Br22.5 million were imposed," the press center reported.

About 50 cases of "envelope" wage payments were detected in 9 months by tax officials of the Vitebsk region, the press center of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate for the Vitebsk region informed BELTA. "Tax authorities of the Vitebsk region, during control measures for compliance with labor legislation by employers in January-September of the current year, identified 46 business entities paying wages "in envelopes".

As a result of the measures taken, Br129.5 million was additionally charged, including Br81 million in income tax. Administrative fines totaling Br22.5 million were imposed," the press center reported. A comparison of incurred expenses with received income was carried out for 437 managers, founders, their close relatives, as well as employees of organizations paying wages in insignificant amounts, in order to identify income concealed from taxation. Declarations of income and property were requested from 80 citizens. For 57 audited declarations, income tax totaling Br126.7 million was additionally charged.
