About 50% of New Year's tour packages at the Vitebsk sanatorium "Lyottsy" have already been booked
October 28, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA/. About 50% of the New Year's tour packages at the Vitebsk sanatorium "Lettsy" have already been booked, the chief physician of the private subsidiary medical and preventive unitary enterprise, Sergey Uselyonok, told a BELTA correspondent.
This year, the sanatorium plans to organize the traditional New Year's tour from December 25 to January 8. The administration is developing a special cultural program for the vacationers. As past experience shows, the sanatorium operates at full capacity during this period, and it has already gained regular visitors, including those from neighboring countries, who prefer to celebrate the New Year at the Vitebsk sanatorium, Sergey Uselyonok noted.
In 2009, the sanatorium commissioned a residential building with improved comfort rooms. The former first residential building, which previously had 66 single and double rooms, has now been converted into a 35-room facility for single occupancy. The new building also houses the reception, marketing department, and accounting office, i.e., the services that vacationers primarily interact with. In addition, the sanatorium is constantly expanding the range of services provided. This year, a solarium, a SPA capsule, two "Nuga Best" thermomechanical massage couches, a "Lymphomat" pneumatic compression unit, and several other types of equipment were purchased. In total, over Br130 million was allocated for these purposes.
Over 9 months, more than 8,000 people underwent health improvement at the sanatorium, of which about 40% were foreign citizens. Compared to the same period last year, the number of vacationers increased by approximately 8%.
The "Lettsy" sanatorium specializes in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, digestive and respiratory diseases and can accommodate 450 vacationers in rooms of various comfort levels. In the system of medical and health-improving measures, a significant place is occupied by climatotherapy (aerotherapy, hemotherapy), balneotherapy (use of mineral waters for baths, irrigations, inhalations, as well as drinking), and terrencure (therapeutic walking for certain distances as prescribed by a doctor). -0-
