About 55 tons of grain saved from a fire at a grain dryer in the Shumilino district

About 55 tons of grain were saved by employees of the district emergency situations department during a fire at a grain dryer in the Shumilino district, the press service of the Vitebsk regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed a BELTA correspondent. The fire report was received from employees of UP "Shumilino Rayagropromservis". The KZSV-30G-N dryer was put into operation in 2008, and at the time of the incident, it contained about 60 tons of grain mixture, which began to smolder. As a result, about 5 tons of grain were damaged, while the grain dryer structures were not damaged. The preliminary damage from the fire is about Br1 million. According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire is considered to be a violation of the operating rules of the heat-generating unit - in the drying chamber, due to increased grain moisture, it stuck to the structures inside the hopper, heated up, and subsequently smoldered. -0-
