About 60 enterprises have been created in Novopolotsk over the last two years, the chairperson of the Novopolotsk City Executive Committee Natalya Kochanova informed at a press conference today, BELTA correspondent reports. Favorable conditions for the development of entrepreneurship have been created in the city. In total, more than 3.5 thousand business entities of various forms of ownership are registered and operate here. At the same time, private sector enterprises make a significant contribution to the fulfillment of forecast indicators. Thus, the share of tax revenues from small and medium-sized enterprises in the total amount of payments made for half a year amounted to 16.3%. If we do not consider such a large taxpayer as OJSC "Naftan", this figure was 54.3%. Entrepreneurs create new jobs, provide employees with decent wages and safe working conditions, and equip production with modern equipment. Among the most successful business projects in the city, Natalya Kochanova named private enterprises SOOO "LLK-Naftan", OOO "Lyubava-Lux", OJSC "Belsplat", OOO "Yudzhen", OOO "Intep", OOO "PF "Pride". Private enterprise OJSC "Belsplat" recently built a door manufacturing plant, which has no analogues in Belarus. The volume of investments in this project amounted to Br17 billion. The chairperson of the city executive committee considers reducing the share of the oil refining segment in the city's economy to be one of the important tasks, therefore the creation of new industries is relevant for the city. -0-
