About 600 participants will gather at the international camp "Be-La-Rus" in the Verkhnedvinsk district

July 22, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. The international camp "Be-La-Rus" will open on July 28 at the Mound of Friendship in the Verkhnedvinsk district of the Vitebsk region, the regional committee of the BRSM informed a BELTA correspondent.

The jubilee XX gathering of youth from Belarus, Latvia, and Russia is dedicated to the Year of Russian Cosmonautics, the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's space flight, and the 20th anniversary of the Russian Youth Union. In honor of these events, the camp participants, numbering about 600 people, have even introduced special space terminology. Thus, the field camp is designated as a "star town" in the youth's special dictionary, the area near the main stage has become a "cosmodrome," the football field is a "docking module," a glade is designated as the "international space station," and the head of "Be-La-Rus" bears the proud title of "ISS Commander."

For three days, young people will compete in various creative and sports competitions: "crews" will battle in football, volleyball, a strongmen contest, arm wrestling, and sack races. A photocross, a DJ battle, and the "Be-La-Russian Dawns" contest will traditionally be held, and the best couple of the camp will be chosen. Participants will also have the opportunity to prove themselves in the classic team-building training "Rope Course" and the plot-based role-playing quest "Our Space." The most athletic and talented "cosmonauts" will be honorably inscribed in the "Camp Records Book-2011."

The camp closing ceremony will take place on July 31.

The event is organized by the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, the Latvian Youth Union for Progress, and the Russian Youth Union. The meeting of youth organization activists is designed to foster the formation of a clear life position among young people and their interaction, and to cultivate a sense of patriotism.-0-
