About 6.5 thousand violations were detected at construction sites in the Vitebsk region in January-August
September 9, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. About 6.5 thousand defects and violations were identified in January-August at construction sites in the Vitebsk region, Anatoly Diulin, head of the inspection of the Department of State Construction Supervision for the Vitebsk region, told a BELTA correspondent.
The department's specialists conducted 2.4 thousand inspections, during which 1612 facilities were inspected. For violations committed, 98 penalties totaling Br40.4 million were imposed on customers, contracting and design organizations, as well as organizations carrying out technical supervision of construction.
Half of the violations identified at construction sites are classified as significant. "These are mainly violations of the construction process technology, the construction of facilities not according to design and estimate documentation. Minor violations include, first of all, the lack of a high culture of production and violation of safety regulations," said the head, noting that at the same time, this year the number of complaints about the work of builders has decreased compared to 2008. "This indicates that the construction complex of the region is trying to work within the framework of legislation and technologies," emphasized Anatoly Diulin.
In total, over eight months, 351 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned in the Vitebsk region, which is 59.6% of the annual target. In August, 39.6 thousand square meters were built, including 2 thousand square meters in agricultural organizations, 21.1 thousand square meters of apartment buildings in cities and district centers, and 10.5 thousand square meters of individual housing. The construction of 951 facilities was completed. The most significant facilities currently under construction in the regional center include the reconstruction of Victory Square and Gagarin Street, the construction of the Pyramida cultural and business center, and a school for 930 students in the Bilevo-1 microdistrict. The construction of 21 dairy farms in various districts of the region is under special control, and the commissioning of these facilities is planned for October. -0-
