Svetlana Lyatyaga, head of the investment and communal services department of the Vitebsk region housing and communal services department, informed a BELTA correspondent about this. By the end of the year, another 11 units of various equipment will arrive in the region. The total cost of the purchased machines will be Br7.5 billion. In general, utility workers of the Vitebsk region are fully prepared for the winter season. Thus, the machine park includes 54 sand and salt spreaders, 174 snow removal machines, 77 loaders, and 146 tractors and dump trucks for snow removal. A stock of sand-salt mixture has been prepared in the volume of more than 32 thousand tons, or 66% of the plan. It will be replenished as it is used. So far, the current winter has not caused particular trouble for utility workers. Work is proceeding as usual, Svetlana Lyatyaga added. -0-
