About 70 partners and activists of the Belarusian Peace Foundation from the Vitebsk region were awarded in connection with the organization's 60th anniversary

Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies Vladimir Terentyev emphasized that the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Peace Foundation is a reliable partner of authorities and public associations. For many years, the BPF has been implementing good deeds in the fields of social protection, culture, education, healthcare, and ideology. Largely thanks to the organization, military graves, memorial complexes, and obelisks are being put in order. The project to create "Peace Schools" in the Vitebsk region has received development. At the same time, the BPF has no membership fees; the organization lives on donations. And this is a titanic amount of work – to find patrons, sponsors, and invest money in such a way that there is a return.

Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Vladimir Penin thanked for the work that is very necessary for society and the state, which is done from the heart:
– You value peace and memory like no one else. It is not for nothing that an article on preserving historical memory is included in the draft Constitution, because everyone understands perfectly well: people who forget the past have no future.

Chairman of the regional branch of the BPF Tatyana Tumanova presented Vladimir Terentyev with the badge of honor "Honored Peacemaker" and Vladimir Penin with the medal of the Belarusian Peace Foundation.
