The financial literacy Olympiad for students is taking place in Vitebsk

For the first time this year, 10th and 11th-grade students from Vitebsk schools were able to participate in the regional financial literacy Olympiad, organized by the Main Department of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus for the Vitebsk Region in conjunction with the Education Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

The Olympiad named three top performers. Vladislav Sugak (Secondary School No. 28) took first place among all participants. He will represent the region at the final stage of the Olympiad, which will be held on October 18 at Secondary School No. 6 in the city of Vitebsk. Trailing the winner by only two points were the silver medalists - Zakhar Varivoda (Gymnasium No. 1) and Evgeny Aleinikov (Secondary School No. 34). Vladislav will compete against the winners of the first round of the Olympiad, who were named in all districts of the Vitebsk Region where the first rounds of the test also took place on September 20.

The event for schoolchildren is aimed at implementing the Action Plan to improve the financial literacy of the population of the Vitebsk Region in 2014. Testing of the students using unified tasks developed specifically for the financial Olympiad is carried out with the participation of OJSC "Belarusbank", OJSC "Belagroprombank", OJSC "Belinvestbank".
