Olympism and Youth
On December 14, 2012, in Postavy, under the auspices of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus, with the support of the Ministries of Education, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus, and with the participation of the public association "Belarusian Olympic Academy", the institution "Republican Center for Physical Education and Sports of Students and Pupils" will hold the republican event "Olympism and Youth".
Within the framework of the event, a seminar on "Olympic Sport and Sport for All" will be held, which will be attended by specialists, methodologists from departments of education, physical culture, sports and tourism, coaches-teachers of specialized educational and sports institutions, and pedagogical workers of educational institutions. The seminar will be conducted by lecturers of the educational institution "Belarusian State University of Physical Culture".
The organizers of the event plan to visit educational institutions, specialized educational and sports institutions, and institutions of additional education for children and youth in order to study and generalize the experience of physical culture and sports work in the region.
It is expected that on December 14, as part of the mentioned event, "Mini Olympic Games" and sports festivals will be held in preschool institutions, sports competitions among students, meetings of youth with champions and prize-winners of the Olympic Games, World and European Championships in educational institutions, and master classes in sports for schoolchildren in specialized educational and sports institutions.
The physical culture festival is planned to conclude with a sports and theatrical performance at one of the cultural institutions with the participation of creative groups and demonstration performances by athletes, and a presentation of the best works by students from the qualifying stages of the republican competition "Poster in the Spirit of Fair Play".
