The "Belaya Rus" Public Association in the Vitebsk region will practically help those who have applied to public reception offices

The public association "Belaya Rus" in the Vitebsk region will not stand aside from solving the pressing problems of the region's residents, said Viktor Gavrisev, chairman of the Vitebsk regional organization of the Republican public association, in an interview with a BELTA correspondent. During an extraordinary reception of citizens in Miory and Ushachi, which the regional branch held by joining the third stage of monitoring the work of local authorities with the population, members of "Belaya Rus" identified issues that they can resolve without involving executive committees. For example, pupils of the social shelter in Ushachi needed stationery before September 1. The regional organization decided to allocate the necessary funds and assemble schoolbags for the children. Pupils of a family-type home from Miory will also receive a long-awaited bicycle. It will also be purchased for them at the expense of the regional organization. The Miory district organization of "Belaya Rus" supported the proposal of a social pedagogue who appealed to the public reception with a request to recognize families to which children removed under Decree No. 18 have returned. It was decided that each such family will receive a valuable gift from "Belaya Rus" and will not be left without the attention of the public association members in the future. As for the construction of a playground in the courtyard of an apartment building in Ushachi, which residents asked for at the public reception, the activists of "Belaya Rus" decided to do it in the traditional way - by communal labor. As it turned out, the district authorities had already prepared the design and estimate documentation for this playground, but its construction requires about Br250 million. The work can be made cheaper if the improvement is carried out by oneself. The Ushachi district organization proposed to hold a community work day to improve the territory and invite its members and the residents of the building to it. According to Viktor Gavrisev, citizens' appeals to the public reception of "Belaya Rus" showed that people are more concerned about everyday issues, the solution of which sometimes depends not only on officials. That is why the regional organization intends to open public reception offices in all districts of the region in September and continue to provide real assistance to people. -0-
