Winners have been determined in the regional creative competition

Not only comprehensive coverage of current events, but also in-depth analysis of all aspects of life in the region and the country, and joint problem-solving with authorities, was the focus for Vitebsk journalists, as stated by the chairman of the regional executive committee, Alexander Kosinets, at a traditional meeting with the media on the occasion of professional holidays – Press Day and Radio, Television and Communications Workers' Day.

According to the governor, the media should pay more attention to issues of people's livelihoods, wages, and pricing policies, and through their educational means, should in every way strengthen the institution of the family, and directly show the immense harm that drunkenness causes to society. A request was also made to journalists to support the development of business and entrepreneurship, especially in small towns, as this is one of the real ways to improve the standard of living in rural areas. And it is important not to forget that journalistic word should be objective and truthful, and by providing objective information about ongoing processes to the region's population, newspapers, television, and radio shape the image of the region, emphasized A. Kosinets.
