Housing and communal services organizations should more actively inform the public about their work - A. Kosinets
May 11, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Housing and communal services organizations should more actively inform the public about their work. This was stated today during a direct line by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets, reports a BELTA correspondent.
"People should know about the work and plans of their housing and maintenance departments and housing and communal services offices for the near future," said the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. According to him, information should be provided in a timely and complete manner, then the public will have fewer worries and concerns on issues that, due to lack of information, they are forced to appeal to higher authorities.
In total, during the almost three-hour direct line, the governor received about 50 calls from residents of the regional center, Polotsk, Vitebsk, Senno, Shumilino and Liozno districts. Most of them were related to housing and communal services, major repairs of houses, improvement of courtyards, roads, parks and recreation areas, and dilapidated housing. The latter is relevant not only for those who called today. In Vitebsk, there are 354 houses with stove heating, which lack normal living conditions. This problem is planned to be solved by 2013: such houses will be reconstructed or demolished, noted Alexander Kosinets.
The quality of construction work also remains a pressing issue for the public. People complain about unfinished work and defects in new buildings. For each such appeal, the governor instructed to create working commissions, inspect the housing within a few days and eliminate the defects.
All received appeals from citizens have been taken under control. The chairman of the regional executive committee instructed to sort out each of them and help people, paying special attention to citizens who are forced to reapply to resolve their problems. -0-
