Orsha has taken over the baton of the cultural capital of Belarus

The solemn ceremony took place at the Palace of Culture "Orsha" with the participation of the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus **Anatoly Markevich**, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies **Vladimir Terentyev**, Chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee **Igor Isachenko**.

– Orsha region is a wonderful land with a rich history, culture, religion, and a large number of attractions. Here you can touch the works of great writers, visit unique temples, pay tribute to the memory and respect of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, – noted the Minister of Culture, greeting the residents of the region during the festive event. – Since the signing of Decree No. 506 "On the Development of the Orsha District of the Vitebsk Region", colossal changes have taken place in the region in all spheres, aimed at improving the quality of life of people. The material and technical base of cultural institutions is being strengthened.

Anatoly Markevich expressed confidence that the Year of Historical Memory and the anniversary of Orsha will be marked by very bright and important cultural projects.
